Matthew Creek

Associate Attorney

Born and raised in West Texas, Matthew completed his bachelor’s degree in history at the University of Texas Permian Basin. Matthew then completed a master’s degree in history and was recognized as an “Outstanding Graduate Student” by his professors for his research and academic performance.

After graduating college, Matthew founded a pipeline construction company, Creek Pipe Company, LLC, in the Permian Basin. As president of Creek Pipe Company, Matthew managed the completion of oil and gas projects for some of the largest oilfield production companies in the world. Matthew helped grow and expand the company until it was purchased in 2017 by an investor from Dallas. Matthew moved to the DFW area in 2017 and worked as a project manager for an ITAD (IT Asset Disposition) company. During this time, he oversaw projects across the United States for companies like Dell Technology and Ford Motor Company.  

Matthew attended law school at Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law where he completed his juris doctor degree. During law school, he was a member of the Criminal Law Society and worked in the SMU Criminal Law Clinic representing indigent clients in Dallas County. While in the SMU Criminal Law Clinic, he was trained by the legendary Dallas attorney Mike McCollum.

After law school, Matthew worked as a prosecutor at the Collin and Dallas County District Attorney’s Offices. Matthew was the chief misdemeanor prosecutor in three different county courts in Collin County before being promoted to the felony division.

In his free time, you will find Matthew kayaking, hiking, traveling, and birding. His next trip is to a remote region of the Darien jungle in Panama where he will be looking for the rare and elusive Harpy Eagle. When he isn’t exploring outdoors, he spends time with two rescue cats and three parrots.
